GP1200 Beachhouse sponsons and upgraded air filters?

Hello all,
Bought my girlfriend a couch, 98 GP1200
I have, in the garage, a set of the upgraded air filters and I have a set of beachhouse sponsons.

What difference do these upgrades make?

Air Filters will let the carbs breath a little more efficiently. The sponsons will help with the handling. Better hookup in turns.

Is there a big performance difference between the stock air filters/boxes and the individual stacked filters?

It is going to be small.
I had them on my wifes Blaster 2 for a while, would swap back and forth.

Sponsons should make the ski seem like its on rails even on the highest setting. IMO they are not for the weekend warrior types that would rather do 180 after 180.
