I've searched and searched. I have a 927 66e. Going into a eme hull. Anyone know of the SJ mounts work or do I need couch mounts?

We build a lot of EME Roid hulls. We use SJ mounts. I have used couch mounts, and they ARE stronger, but they sit higher, and may need to be machined down on the base for proper height.

Save yourself the headache and skip that.

For sure. Why install something guaranteed to fail, which the Rhaas will. Even if they have a warranty do you want to spend your life replacing failed mounts? I'd go couch mounts, personally. Replacing motor mounts sucks.

The warranty is only 3 years on the Rhaas mounts.

Rhaas mounts are garbage, and getting them "free replacement" is next to impossible. New OEM or nothing imo.. I have been told RRP are good, but all other a/m mounts I've tried break.

Broke a bunch of oem superjet mounts.
Donkey punched my evo into the sand 3 weeks ago. Straight down. Nose first. Hard. Pulled the cooling lines off the bulkhead. Couch mounts held fine.
Haven't ever seen a set of broken couch mounts. People say the flex or vibrate too much. Idk. Never been a issue for me.
My xfr i milled some off the bottom to get em to work. My evo i drilled the hiled to half inch and pushed the mounts out as far as they would go. Both ways were able to achieve good alignment..

SJ mounts and couch mounts have the same mounting angle, but couch mounts are just a little taller. Your application is non standard and would think either type would work. As others have said above, and our experience as well, that the couch mounts are more durable and were used with heavier couch motor setups by Yamaha.

The only good thing about wdk hulls is the fact they use couch mounts. All hull builders that use sj mounts are just screwing the buyer. Superjet only mounts are rare and expensive. Couch are dime a dozen. I've had one couch mount go soggy and one separate from salt probably.
