I have only had factory graphics or a complete bottom wrap on previous skis but am wanting to only wrap the sides of my hull below the bondline. Will the vinyl stick if I trim it before the bottom edge of the hull? The entire bottom wrap was a less than ideal once it got compromised by a small tear.

Mine have been holding fairly well. They get the most beat up just by random sticks in the water or loading/unloading/traveling in the truck bed. I’ve only had mine on for a year. But I’ve had many skis where I’ve put sponsor stickers on the side of bottom deck like you’re referring to and they’ve all held over the years.

And yes, make sure you trim it up from the edge by about an inch if possible. The more gap the better. Mine are only about 1/2” or less and have been holding well.

Are you talking about a graphic or a single piece of vinyl below the bond line from the front to back. Both will work just fine. For the single piece front to back, 3m makes an edge sealer that is brushed on that will seal the edge to prevent curling. As for a graphic you shouldnt have any issues with a high quality vinyl.

Just a single piece of vinyl "wrap" material.
