That is my thoughts on it but then I think about how bad I will feel if somthing did happen and I didn't say anything even though I knew. So to be on the safe side I figure ill just keep everyone informed

I am so glad I dont have to deal with that in the great lakes... yet........ lol

I read that Bull Sharks have been sighted in the great lakes. Apparently there the only shark that can live in fresh water or salt water, so they have been sighted up the Mississippi and stuff. Bull Sharks are also supposed to be more aggressive than any other shark as I recall (and blamed for more human attacks?).

Ya, bull sharks are 1 of 23 speicies of brackish (fresh and salt) sharks. They are also known to be one of the only sharks that seem to purposly attack humans instead of just mistacking them. With there size, aggression, and the fact that they are more wide spread with higher populations than almost any other shark it is easy to see why they are resposable for some of the highest number of deaths.
Another shark was spotted this morning at sunset cliffs and a baby seal was found on a beach in la jolla with a shark bite taken out of it.

Ok im not going to lie. It's getting a little crazy down here in so cal. I have seen a few smaller great whites 5 miles out in so cal before while fishing, seen some around catalina. Seen a few big ones in san francisco and fort point. Not usually that worried about them. But this picture is amazing. And it's a crowded surf spot here in north county. There are a bunch of great whites down in la jolla as it is a mating ground. but most of them are super deep where the ocean drops into the very very deep trench down there in la jolla. Scripps has tagged a lot of them as well. They usually don't make it to close up, but one sure did in solana beach in 2007.

i think a lot of people don't realize great whites are not rare in california there are a lot of them especially up here in northern california i saw on shark week that near bodega bay is one of the most populated great white areas in california, all the surfers up there see them almost daily and don't even worry about it haha i surf in santa cruz a lot and as long as you don't think about them its not a big deal, there out there and always will be its just part of being in the ocean

We are constantly swimming with sharks down here, and we do the same, just don't think about it. I do wonder how the odd climate changes we are having is causing them to change their typical habits, especially with your many great whites up that way.

Yea it really is crazy how unpredictable they are. It seems there always finding new things out about them
