Absolute gorgeous hull !!!! Conrads. Bit of a clunky internal fuel. Just cut a hole in the tank and move the filler neck to the top of the tank.

I know it's not pretty, it's just to get me by without cutting my tank up. I'm trying to talk myself into buying the cold fusion tank.

If it was me i would just run a single fuel line with no selector, dash will look cleaner and you will never have to worry about the fuel selector giving you fits.

I think this is what I am going to do. I ended up buying the new cold fusion tank too. I can't believe how much money I can spend on this thing, and I still have a 701! AH!!

Received my hull yesterday, got it set up in the garage and started messing with pump mounting/shimming last night. Finished it tonight and ended up with .034" (.86mm) of shims on the left side, and .061" (1.55mm) on the right side to get the shaft lined up perfectly so when I add the mid-shaft housing the bolts are already lined up. I was happy with how this ended up, even though in all of my noobness it took 4 times longer than it should have.

Probably overdue for an update, just trying to stay working on this thing as much as possible. Precious riding weather is passing me by. The pole/steering is just mocked up and sitting there, but getting closer. The ATP bars are 27" wide, I'm assuming you guys cut these down since the stock is like 4" narrower if I remember right?

I custom made the battery box to fit my new etx-9, not sure if I like it or not. I used some random 1" thick grey plastic, 3\16" x 2" dowel pins, and some 1/4" plastic airline for a little cushion on the pins. The battery fits in snug, which is what I was going for, but I'm not wanting to break the battery mounting holes in the hull, so maybe I'll start over. I don't know yet, a little more cushion might be a good idea. I used the stock battery pad under the battery and cut it down to size, but I'm still a little hesitant.

I like the way the dash has turned out with the removable front foot hold covering everything up. I think it looks nice and clean. I also think I will like having the ratchet for the hood strap up on top of the hood so I don't hit my face on it. :) I think the only thing I might add on the dash is a primer, and I wont mess with that for a while anyway.

The steering cable install is still an unknown for me, but slowly the unknowns are disappearing one by one. Maybe I'll get lucky and this thing will actually run!?

That battery tray is nice. What's ur concerns with it? Seems very sano and simple.

I'm a little worried since it holds the battery so tight that during impacts the inertia of the battery will put a lot of stress on the battery tray mounting holes in the hull. I'm guessing the vision hull has stronger thread inserts than the stock SJ, but it's hard to know for sure. I just don't want to damage anything in the hull. I'm thinking the Rad Dudes battery tray is a better design because it allows the battery to move around.

I think ur fine. I land flat upside on my hood and my makeshift tray of lexan and epoxy holds onto my hull with the same battery. I would think u'd want no battery movement inside the tray. It would be just added inertia to pull against the mounts. Good luck either way. Looks sweet.

Thanks man, I'll give it a shot. Need to figure out the straps and should be good to try it out.

Just widen it on the sides and bottom and glue in some turf or padding like a stock box has in it.

I might do that, I'll have to set it up in the mill again. I might try it as is and see what happens.
