Other Grip Glue Sucks, any other ideas?

In motocross I've found that spraying a bit of spray paint in the grip and on the bar and pushing the grip on works great! The paint dries and bonds the 2 together but it doesn't make a huge mess and no one sees the inside anyways. A lot of guys did safety wire but I hated that stuff it always dug into my hands and I don't recommend it. The grip glue made a mess and was never real great either. Super glue dries too fast and is difficult to work with, isn't very flexible.
Now I've never tried this on a anything that was going to be submerged but it is my method of choice in motocross and will be the first thing I try on my ski.

ive raced motocross all me life and did the wire :):):):) and renthal grip glue never holds the best stuff i found is pro taper grip glue it is by far the best it wont slip and when u want new grips u might be scraping it off with a razor blade because it sticks that good.

ive used the spray paint method for years and never had a grip failure due to sliding off
also like the odi , have been a fan since my old bmx days but dont think they are worth the $
ami and spraypaint is my choice and method

The 3m contactct cement we use for our turf.. put some in the grip spread it around.. put a decent amount on the bar. Light the one on the bar on fire count 2-3 seconds slide grip on.. check position if directional fast.. wipe off excess glue fast...

Let it sit for a while it wont go anywhere

I was joking about the duct tape. What are all of you hippies doin with your glue and paint tricks, very funny. Dude just use ODI, and someone close this thread.

For lock on grips use pipe thread sealant on the screws.... If you don't you'll be cutting them off after a year or two when you need to remove. As mentioned above they corrode and the small allen strips/rounds. Might not be an issue for fresh water only but...

Clear spray paint on the bar and in the grip. Never had an issue with grips slipping off of any jet ski or motorcycle.

I don't care for the ODI. They get loose with in a couple months.

I like to hold my hands on the bare metal and have my friends come and duct tape my hands to the bars. It's kinda like Edward 40 hands for shet skis. But in all seriousness I ran renthals with spray paint on the bars and safety wire and had the right grip come off twice. Put some odi's on and no problemo. The allen head is a 2.5mm but its not really alien, what's alien is working on a friends xmetal pole and steering and everything is F'in standard bolts. That's just stupid to me.
