Group K Big bore kit "Hammer" Reviews?

The kit offered uses a 760 core and is then bored and sleeved to a 845cc for around 2,000 for the work minus the required head core and crank from my understanding. Using a 62T SJ head, 760 exhaust manifold, and a top crank case oem. I haven't priced out all that yet to see my total because i want to know reputation of this company and specially this engine set up. How its treated you and how you like the power, what are competitors maybe taking the title for the better bang for the buck. Looking to save the most i can and stay away from a crazy pro level engine, but something more than a 760. Thanks!

I can't comment on that engine but I can tell you Harry at Group K is a great guy and knows his stuff. I have had him do all of my machine work since the early 90's and it is always flawless. I had him do his Sleeper kit on a 1997 Seadoo XP and it was everything he promised it would be. It looked just like stock but was exactly as fast as the newer 951 XP's.

Keep in mind that Group K specialized in endurance race skis so there are probably other builders that make more total output but Group K balances output with reliability.

Give him a call, he always answers the phone and is willing to talk.

I've never heard a bad thing about their work, ever.
They are a tad conservative, but if your a rec rider thats a good thing.
I had them do some machine work for me and I was impressed with their work and talking to them on the phone.

I had a Group K Hammer in my 750sxi. That joker was nasty and never gave me any issues. Harry also helped with the trick cooling system setup. I've been to his shop many times (lived down the street for a few years) and the testing he and his brother have done over the last 20+ years has delivered "reliability" coupled with performance. Spend some time reading their "white papers" on carburation etc., pretty in depth testing. I've also owned many other engines and for OEM cylinder engines I can speak highly of Group K and Tim at Z Force. I'm sure there are many others that can deliver the same that I have not dealt with.
