Guess I need to buy a ford Maverick

Had my truck in for service and they gave me maverick as a loaner. It was fine but didn't really suit my needs. Anyways I always seem to go to the build pages on vehicles after I drive them. Pulled up the maverick and this picture is on the home page. I guess maybe its not so bad. haha

I don't want hybrids and I don't want auto transmissions. So these are off the list.
After owning 3 f--ds...I can't even bring myself to name them correctly I despise them that much lol...kinda like our crime minister up here... can't bring myself to use or spell his name...or watch anything he's in because his voice is worse than looking Medusa in the face. But after owning 3 V8 half ton trucks of that brand and not a single one being reliable or living past 220,000 kms (roughly 140,000 miles) and constantly being left stranded on the side of the road if I didn't have the resourcefulness to patch repair until getting home... I have learned the hard way that I'll never go back to them or ever recommend them. A few of my friends did the same, walked away from them because they're too unreliable. One guy bought a new 2018 half ton with the ecoboost engine...it was in the shop 13 times a year for the only 2 years he had it for warranty and recalls. The 4wd always failed to kick in, in 30,000 kms (~20k miles) it needed new rear wheel bearings. The turbos or superchargers... whatever it uses had to be replaced, it was an absolute lemon of a truck...just like all three of mine were. I sooo do not miss leaving that brand and the money pit they are.

Mention any brand name (except old toyota) and someone will be triggered and livid at their screen, blasting them as the worst possible thing to buy. Seething hate, flowing through you.

Yeah that's probably true. Everything is so mass produced anymore there is no such thing as quality. You just have to go with your gut and buy what you think is the best option for you.

But I'm still always going to talk trash about that four letter f-word of the auto industry :p

All the manufacturers make some nice stuff.......and they all make some garbage too. I use to always be a die hard GM guy, but over the years I've found good deals and owned a lot of different makes. I've come to the conclusion you NEVER want the first or even second year of a new production. Let them work the bugs out first. Also, a lot of new vehicles have problems.....normally minor....that need trips to the dealership to repair. Also, being new, those parts might be on national backorder or some such. NO THANKS, I'll let everybody else loose money on new rigs and I'll continue buying 10 year old low mileage vehicles that already have history on various issues that I can research. This method has worked well for us and we've had our last 3 main vehicles for 10 years each with no major issues!!

Oh,.........and my wife has a Ford F150 with the TRITON 5.4!!!!

I’m not very confident these new cars will have much life left after ten years. At least not without some expensive maintenance.
