Super Jet Guy on a couch asks a REALLY dumb question

So my brother and I take advantage of one last nice weekend and hit the river (my 99 SJ and his SXR). This guy on a couch is following me around so finally I slow down to see what he wants. He says, do you wanna switch I have never ridden one of those before? My really simple answer, NO!! Like I wanna spend part of my last ride of the year on floating around on a couch...haha. Some people.

Yea, agreed. Granted, few people have asked, but I let them. I've had to get towed back to shore when a battery quit on one of my skis when a buddy and I were out. Of course, my ski is like $1500 so not a huge issue if something happens, and as said, I would gladly take a multi-thousand dollar sit down for my little 650 if he drowns it.

And you never know, they might come join the stand up gang from that single ride they took :Banane13:

I don't see how that's a REALLY DUMB question.
I let just about anybody that asks ride my ski. (Out in open water, with a lanyard and with me around)

Really good points on the tow in subject. We usually have our friend with us on his couch to tow us in when needed. My brother did end up letting him try his SXR, and it was quite amusing watching him spend more time swimming after it than actually riding it. I really don't dislike sit downs that much but I thought I would stir the pot for some amusement.

I enjoy watching them drag them self around the waters behind a standup ski. good fun right there. I also like when they squeeze the throttle and the ski yanks out of their hands.

I really liked it when Parr showed one day feigning not to have ever ridden a stand up, gave him mine, and then Cathy went out on hers to assist the helpless man, via showing him what he was doing wrong!

:haha::haha::haha:

I actually had 3 different girls in their mid 20's want to try to ride my 97 Superjet this past year at the lake..I let them all try as long as they weren't drunk. Two of them only made it a few feet before giving up..the other one actually rode around on her knees for a while just sort of circling around.

As long as the people seem decent I don't mind letting them try things out..not like they can sink it..I have tried!

i usually let people try it out also in safe conditions of course.how else are they gonna get hooked?definately gotta be sober though.which is only about 50% of the time.
