I ride a X-jet (released before the REV hull). I do not like the REV for a number of cosmetic reasons so i opted to get the old style X-jet. It is very exotic looking but I feel the X-jet is more functional. However, I do run Waterdawgs bottom deck and it handle allot different than a Superjet. The waterdawg bottom is very nimble and does not have that side to side stability that a Sj has. This is great for flatwater freestyle b/c it makes the ski very flickable and twitchey. I would not particually like this hull in the surf b/c is it so loose. Although it would perform well I feel you would ahve to fight with the ski more than a SJ or SXR. However, those bottom decks are available as well.

I have had and continue to have small problems with my hull but Jeff is going to build me a new one to replace my current hull. We will see how it all pans out. Some things were not done the way I wanted them done along with a couple issues that and not catostrophic but still not something that should go wrong on close to $6000 hull (1/2 wet laid and 1/2 prepreg fiberglass).

I will tell you that I find it difficult to ride a OEM hull now. My hull was not that light as it weighted 108 lbs w/ the hood. But even that weight difference makes one's riding level jump up a couple levels (w/in reason). If you are already a good rider a new freestyle hull will compliment your ablity. However, if you just like to ride around I would not spends the $$ as you may not take advantage of what you paid so much for.

For just a wetlaid hull look at spending $4500 on a REV and $3500 on a X-jet (assuming that he still makes the X-jet)

The motor bed is all one unit. I have grown to not really care for this aspect of the hull for reasons that are specific to my particular hull. The design and lay out of the inside is very clean. You can run a 62t platform or the 66e package (which still needs to be proven across the board). Likewise you can run the battery in the OEM location or in the bulkhead. I feel the that for the $$ you can't beat the number of options avaiable on the WKD hulls. However, hull like WF are quite nice as well and he is adding more and more options to his hulls (battery locations, bottom decks ect...), so that may be a option as well.

I waited about 9 months for my X-jet. However, he does have some REV hulls currently built and ready to go..........

I could not be happier with the way it turned out......

turnaround time was approx 3.5 mo's....shipping via pilotair was 354.00 and took about 3 days to get it

still building as i opted to install my own footholds, but I have ridden this particular bottom deck in the surf and it handles wonderfully!
