FX-1 Handle pole help!

Hello everybody. I have come here as a last resort after hours of searching the internet for an answer. Here is my dilemma: I have acquired a 1994 FX-1. What happened is a lady was riding the ski and a small airplane landed on it, breaking the handle pole beyond repair. The handle pole and the plastic trim for the bracket (which I"m not too worried about) are the only things that broke. What i would like to know is: would a handle pole meant for the Super Jet work on the FX-1? and what is my best option for a quality part that is somewhat inexpensive?

An FX1 has a pole 2" shorter than a RN superjet. I have a new -3" AC pole (aluminum), technically it should be 1" shorter than what you had. If it interests you $350 plus shipping (tough enough that 2 planes could land on it!)

A pole from the newer Superjets (2008+) is same as FX-1 and will bolt right up. Taylor Curtis (TCurtis) just had one in the for sale section for $100. I have the purple plastic piece I would give you for free, but shipping would probably be more than it's worth.....we just remove them.

Thank you guys for your rapid response and help! Im gonna have to wait a while to get one, im just compiling a list of things i'm gonna have to get to finish it up. We're just starting to enter winter up here in AK, so i have plenty of time. Still gotta tear into the motor. Has low compression in one cylinder. I will definitely check on this site when i am ready to look for one. Thanks again!

So long and thanks for all the fish

Just the 08+. The others will fit, but be 2" longer and possibly cause the throttle/steering cables and wiring to be too short or at least stretched.

You could always buy a SJ pole and shorten it, I am shortening my FX1 pole this winter. There is a thread on here that has some good pics and instructions.

I'm working up on the north slope right now. Ill take some pics when I get home in two weeks if I remember. It just busted the bottom of the pole and made a few cracks in the Hull jut below the hood.
