Super Jet handle pole reinforcement

my buddy just picked up a 90 sn and theres a crack at the top of the pole around the whole pole just under the chin pad. i was wondering if there was anything to do to salvage the pole like a bracket to screw onto it or is it time for a new pole?

I would duct tape so you can ride until you find a RN pole. I just did the conversion with a shortened RN pole. I like it so much more and it looks way better.

Thanks for the input guys...don't you have to mod the bracket for the pole?

I'm going to run a RN pole on a SN with a Hazard Bracket, the RN pole is much lighter and looks more awesome than the SN pole.

I am running a RN pole with the stock SN bracket. To get it to fit I had to cut a little off the end of the pole and cut the tab for the pole rest on the bracket. The RN pole is a bit narrower so I used stainless washers from Lowe's the to take up the extra space. I used the stock SN springs that I had to cut down a bit. I also moved the hood hooks to the out side of the bracket. Do some searching you will find lots of threads on the conversion.
