Custom/Hybrid handle pole shock pads

i need some shock pads but i don't want to spend $30 for Hydros when i know its just dense foam, any suggestions?:aargh4:

Won't save you any money but you can make like 50 pads if you buy the smallest sheet of 1 inch.

Sure it does, thats how mine is, I have 4 rectangle pieces of turf glued together and its held up for 2 years now.

Home Depot sells these funky kids play area foam flooring things.
They come in 24" x 24" interlocking sheets (4 per package) and are 1" thick.

Work great for pole pads, battery tray reducers (I run a small battery) and anything else where padding is needed.
A pack of 4 lasts a long time.

use some turf scraps to make your pad - that's what most do.

if you don't have any - beg some from your local area riders.

if they don't have any, put a post up in the WTB forum. Someone will hook you up.

I can't believe no one suggested the ol fun noodle. :wave: Just go out to the garage, take the kids fun noodle, cut off what's needed (i also cut a groove out of the backside so it would stay in place) and tell them you don't know what happened to it if they ever ask, but they never will since you don't have kids.

FUN NOODLE (foam noodle) they are cheap. Zip tie it on and be done.

they are like two bucks at a hardware store. easiest solution. If it is cold where you are, check a pool shop, most do spas too and should have them in a bunch of colors. Why pay for anything else?
