Hauling my jetski on my pontoon boat ideas

I have done this on two pontoon boats now and been meaning to do a build thread on it. The boat is still covered up so you will have to make due with what photos I have for the moment. I brainstormed this for a long time and I couldn't think of a better way to do it if you want access to your ski when your boat isn't in the water.

I leave my ski on the boat all the time now and just lock it to the boat. When i want to just take the ski out I swing it out over my double trailer and drop it and off I go. I have 3 gas cans mounted to the back deck and a tool chest I keep on-board as well.

Couldn't be happier with how it works and how the boat rides.

Only thing I plan to change this year is to replace the tie-downs i use with cut to length straps.

Let me know if you have any questions.

was wondering if u supported aluminum rails underneath deck or if you just sandwiched the metal plates to the deck

My boat had aluminum "T" beams under it. So I cut the 3/8" aluminum plate to fit right between the beams and overlap the Flanges on the beams. If that makes sense. So basically the deck is just sandwiched between the two plates, but also overlapping the beams. My boat is out of storage, just need to take some pictures.

Here are some pictures, turns out the T-Beams were on my first pontoon boat, so this one is just sandwiching the deck. I also used some of the angle iron that came with the cherry picker to lock down an outer edge. The Steel plate on top of the deck is about 2x the surface area of the aluminum plate underneath.

That's hilarious!

Not sure I would lift a $10-15k ski with a $140 cherry picker, but it gets the job done in your photos. Nice work.

Can't deny my butt cheeks clench a bit every time i use it over the road haha...but i check the bolts on a regular basis and swap out the cable winch at the first sign of it starting to go bad.
