Other than cranes/ davits anyone loading their standups on their big boat? I have a 42' trawler that I want to put a ski on or at least be able to travel with. Towing isn't really a good option, anybody have any ideas? I thought of building some kind of cradle to put my ski in my hard bottom inflatable which gets towed behind, but then I have to worry about lifting it into that without damaging either boat.

Thanks guys.

We sell Swift lift and Jet Lift products.
With out pics of your boat I can't be 100% and what setup to sell you. But here is the idea. You can mount the winch and upper legs to the boat and use it as a ramp to winch the ski up.

Some real first world problems here haha.

I've got a 30' express with a 1/2 teak, 1/2 fiberglass swim platform. We put my 650sx on there and run 38 miles from my slip across/up the Chesapeake Bay over to Cape Charles, VA on the eastern shore. I use dense foam blocks to pad it and ratchet straps from the swim platform, over the transom, to the stern cleats to secure it (has the effect of pulling up on the platform to counter some weight as well.)

Has worked fine twice now...

Takes 2 guys (me and a buddy) to load it from waist to chest deep water. One pushes down in the tray to lighten the nose and the other stands in the boat and pulls the nose up as far as he can. Then we both lift the back of the ski/slide the ski on the foam blocks until its where we want it.
