SX/SXi/SXi Pro Have 650sx looking at 750sx

Do those compression numbers sound ok? 125-135? First test on cold motor was 135 in each, i also forgot to hold the throttle open. Second test was with the throttle pinned and they both were about 125. I could of swore the magic number was 150, but i might be wrong. Is this too low compression.

Still anything is better than the 650sx, no offense.

The first question to ask is what type of riding do you enjoy. Flat out speed, and running buoy courses, or trying to do some freestyle?

For speed and carving the 750sx will be great platform. You'll be able to do a lot of modifications for the purpose. But if you're up for the freestyle game holding onto the 650sx until you can snag a Superjet would be the way to go. If freestyle is what you want to do in the end I probably wouldn't waste time in the 750sx.

i resent that! The 750 sx is a light smaller hull, mine fully reenforced weighs 315lbs. I ride nothing but surf and love the smaller lighter hull. I learned how to roll on it. Most of the guys I ride with say they love the way it handles and say they could get use to riding it. Handling wise I have Tubbies and a D cut ride plate. I also have a Yama 701 in it which helps on the power.

Most will say buy a Superjet, But you can make a great Ski out of the 750sx freestyle or racing. If it is not to much i would diffinatly pick one up. You will be way happier then with the 650sx

first of all, NICE 750sx. I don't think there is any question that you can make one he11 of a freestyle ski out of a 750. Your ski is an example of that, but look at all the mods you have. I think the question is how much more money, time, work and energy will it take? Before I caved and decided to convert to a SN, I kept thinking, "maybe I can get a 750 for cheap and use the extra money I would have used on buying a RN for mods for the 750." But I was too afraid that I'd get reeeally far down the road of doing lots of work and mods to the 750 only to eventually regret it and start all over on a superjet.

Lol are you meaning 650sx or 750sx? I said anything is better than the 650sx.

Anyways I started riding a friends 650sx, then picked up a 750sx and enjoyed it SO much more. The 650 just slides all over the place, never sticks on any corner.

true anything is better then a 650. I was just stating that the 750sx can be a freestyle ski personally the great handling and lightness of the hull makes it a good canidate if you do the right mods to get it competive to a 701 power or put a 701 in it like i have.

That's within range don't let it worry you. I have a bad motor that reads 150 and have friends with 2 good motors that read 125. Plus if you do have a issue its fairly cheap to rebuild. Go for it.

i love my sn but i ride 509freeriders sxi every weekend and love it to. it all comes down to each persons preference. the sn fits my riding style, but everyone is different. come out and ride with us:Banane35:
