So how would requiring vendors to pay an annual fee stop you receiving unwanted pm's from those vendors about your wtb ads?

And really, you would essentially like less responses to your requests for parts, and all of it financed by the vendors that you don't like to hear from.

Edit: To be clear, I have no association with site management. I am just curious.

I didn't start this thread to talk about Vendors and what they do with the owners....that is between them. It was started to remind people that they can help support the website for 10 dollars a year. For me it is well worth that for all the advice I get off of here.

After reading this i went and supported the site, didn't even see that it was possible till you brought it up.

I've gained way more than $10 worth of knowledge from here, seems like a fair trade to me.

It's an unfair trade in my direction for years. It would be a steal at double the fee. Re-upped myself. Thanks X.

If the owners don't want vendors to pay its on them. It would improve the site tho. If you think the big vendors don't make a lot of money, your mistaken.

Ive almost always put in my wanted ads in looking for used parts with used prices. Doesn't stop them. Not really a big deal but annoying.

Joe Schmo with a welder making stuff is cool sometime. Seems more than not on this site it's not. Maybe I look at it different because I had my own business for quite some time and wouldn't have expected free advertisement. To each his own I guess.

respectfully Mr. Sparkplug, where do you feel I fall in the "vendor category? And IF you believe I am a "big vendor" how do you know how much money I make from using this website? Actually please take a guess at my yearly income and profit from my business. I would love to know how people perceive me.

apologies to dmac, take it to pms if this is too much of a threadjack. and thankyou for the reminder to support the site. I will be sending in mine as soon as I have some funds in paypal.

I honestly feel if you're an active member, you should spend the $10. There's guys on here since 2007 with 60 posts and all they do is use this to buy or sell. That's another group that should pay the $10... You'll spend less here than on eBay or at a dealer getting tech info... Pay the :):):):)in ten dollars and help these guys run this site. I'd pay more that $10.

Being able to simply log onto a forum that has it's focus on stand up skis is the best medicine for anyone into this sport that has to deal with down time. Whether it is from builds, re-builds, injuries, winter (move/vacation south guys), or just life kicking you're @$$ and leaving no time to ride - the motivation that comes from reading the stories, builds, pics, vids - you just cannot put a fair price on that kind of inspiration and motivation gleaned from simply logging onto the X.

This place is worth way more than just 10$.

this forum is definitely worth the 10$ and more...being somewhere that you can literally "ask the pro's" is pretty awesome

Is there any way to set it up so it just automatically renews it each year?

Bump. People who can thank this site for getting them through the workday should consider supporting this place. It's a small fee to pay for the amount of entertainment and technical help it provides. If you are selling stuff on here pay for the vendor account and consider it insanely cheap marketing.
