Yea we built that puppy a few years back and it kicked butt until HD. I love and still run XP64 on my gamer/surfer. And I only use 4GB of fast RAM.
We could go 8GB+ with XP64 or Win764 Korn. I just like XP for now because I can get it to sit idle at 256MB of RAM verses 1GB on Win7.
No biggie unless you are trying to edit vids on 4GB of RAM and want every bit you can get.
Korn if you are serious and plan on doing this for years to come we should go 16GB of RAM and Win7 64.
But 8GB with either Windows should be plenty.
If you have money burning a hole then we should just start new.....Quad core CPU or more with 16GB of super fast RAM and Win 7 64.
