Heal block installation

Adding some heal blocks to my dvx after I did the turf and found out my setup wasn’t good enough. I was wondering what people used successfully to keep these things on? Contact cement good enough? Should probably cut the turf/pad out to glue to the deck of the ski. I was thinking about using urethane adhesive not sure if it’s necessary. Thanks

Your pretty much guaranteed to fight that setup. They will be constantly coming loose. @tricky1 sells the heel locks with wedges all as one piece I believe. Mine are old and beat up and I’m really hard on turf do i installed foot straps over the sides to hold them in. The side part is almost as important as the heel part.

couldn’t find a good pic but those epoxied in inserts are where the foot strap goes.

Yea I didn’t put the heels on when I made the wedges. I’ll probably cut the turf/pad out should help keep them in too. I built some side into them and urethaned those blocks in seem to be holding good.
