helicoil/timeserts in wear ring

Anyone done it? Pulled the first quarter inch of threads out of 2 bottom holes on my wear ring last night. Considering helicoiling them to get me by for a bit.

Nothing to lose really. You can use some antiseize on your long bolt threads to make sure they come out easily. But it'll certainly get you by.

You can always nut and bolt both mating sections on that one hole.

I like the idea of sandwiching everything together with the long bolts but I'm going to keep this in mind for plan b

It works fine. Just a bit more work. The long bolts are way easier.

done the nut and bolt on a skat pump I use to run. Also helicoils. If you have the time put some red loctite on them before you install. let sit a while.
