I have some electrical tape but didn’t think it would confirm around the wires and still have enough room to bolt the epic’s cover back on hence why I thought about paint but now I’m thinking I can light the electrical tape on fire and have it drip onto the wire and coat around it just like this plastic dip stuff.

Any hardware store sells liquid electrical tape. Get that and save the hassle.

Just install a zerk fitting in the cover and fill full of grease. The grease will keep the wires from touching and keep the water out....
Do they make dialectic in a 12oz grease gun tube? This is genius do I just pump until it starts coming out the grommets?

Install fitting on the bottom of the box and pump till grease is pouring out of the top. Don't even worry about finding dielectric grease, use whatever is cheapest at harbor freight.

My dad bought a 5 gallon bucket of this liquid that you can spray or dip stuff in and the film insulates it. We are going to try it this year before we head to the beach. He dipped the replacement bulbs he got in the liquid and when he installed them they wouldn't burn. The film insulated some how between the metal to metal contact.

Better yet, just fill a grease tube full of epoxy resin and pump that in, it will be waterproofed forever!
