i just had this same problem a couple of months ago. i used pb blaster soaked them really good let them sit for 10 to 15 min then used a propane torch to heat the bolt. be careful not to burn the house down!! j/k. anyway, use the vice grips to twist the bracket back and forth. you may have to use the bfh get them started, but you want to try to unscrew them out not pound them out! the ears on the elec box will break. after you get them out clean them up and use a good waterproof grease on the threads when you reassemble it. also might want to replace the locknuts with stainless ones..

I had to soak mine on a boat I bought overnight in WD40 once then clamped them in vice and worked them out with screwdriver slowly. I could not believe they could get that corroded, but they do.

The bolts/brackets have been saturated in penetrating oil since yesterday afternoon. Right now my plan is to bend them out of place to get access to the screws. If I bust them, I bust them. We'll see.
Usually I have nothing but praise for those little Yamaha engineers. I think this time I'm calling this a slight design flaw.

had same problem.
i drilled holes in center of the e-box brackets so now I have easy way to get to those screws.
And I did bend them before, worked perfect.
good luck and hurry up, daytona is on its way:Banane01: :woot:

*UPDATE*

Been busy as hell, but had a couple free minutes last night. And the winner is - Vice grips; bent the little f'ers out of the way. The Enhancer and new coil are sitting on the workbench, ready to go. I'll get to it when I get to it. At least I don't have to worry about riding this weekend (picture is from last night)

Have fun in Daytona.
