Help! Exhaust coupler melting

Hi everyone, I have a pjs pipe on my 91 550 and the exhaust coupler where the head meets the expansion chamber keeps burning a hole in it... So clearly it's running too hot. I pinched part of the pisser to get some back pressure but still didn't seem to solve the problem. I need to get this figured out asap. What do you guys think? Jetting maybe? Thanks

Okay, and how would I do that

there's a hole in the headpipe that pisses water.check it.check for water flow in the headpipe also.

take a photo of what you got, so we can see what style PJS pipe it is and how you routed the cooling lines

Had this same issue once with a PJS exhaust. Here's a thread I started years ago on PWCtoday that has pictures of what my problem was. Head pipe water injection hole had been welded shut.
