help finding a choke knob!! Help!

I'm sure someone has one laying around here that you can have. If I could find mine you could have it. Everyone removes it anyways.

Is there a reason you still want to run a choke?

Put a primer kit on it and forget about the choke. There are lots of folks on the boards that would be happy to hook you up with a primer kit.:purr: :purr:

whats the difference between the primer kit and choke? Aren't the essentually the same thing???

No it's not. Well essentially they are because they both richen the mixture at startup to make starting easier, but the difference between them is that a primer actually injects fuel directly into the throat of the carb while a choke merely blocks the flow of air into the throat thus decreasing the amount of air that gets to the engine subsequently richening the mixture.

Primers work a whole lot better and by installing the primer you are able to remove the choke plates that already disrupt the flow of air into the throat of the carb regardless of whether the choke plate is open or not.

So to sum it up... Go with a primer.

yes, it has the screw. pm your address and i will mail it out. however, i agree with every one else. put a primer on then the ski won't have to turn over as much before it fires. since there is no oil in the engine until the gas/oil mixture enters through the reeds then you are basically running dry which is not good for the life of the engine.
