Can anyone ID these carbs? They measure 46mm at the bottom.

Has anybody ever just welded some billet mounting plates to spigot mount carbs? There seems to be a decent amount of spigot mount carbs floating around for considerably less than their flange mounted counterparts, seems somebody with some machine access and aluminum welding skills could turn these into usable carbs.

That is how they normally mount, but it has been said the yamaha twin vibrates to much to get proper fuel metering with spigot mount carbs. I am wondering if anybody has modified them to mount solid. I would think an aluminum bar between the carbs like Novi uses, mounted to some sort of bracket to the head may also solve the problem but may be more work than it is worth.

I was a straw hair away from welding my novis to my php manifold speed plate last night at 3am. But then thought a littke deeper in my noggin and bought a new set of oem 46s today so I can ride for the third time on one nights sleep
