Other Help Identify car make and model

Helping out a friend on another forum.
Had this car attempt to steal his catalytic converter (Florida).
Seems like it's a unique model that may not be that common and therefore easy to spot or track down but he can't identify what it is.

Anyone recognize it?

looks like a plymouth neon to me. late 90s. this one is a 98.

No reflector behind the rear wheel and the rear pillar has too much angle.
Also, it could just be the angle of the original pic but it doesn't look to have a trunk at all, just a round little booty like a hatchback.
