What carbs are these? They are taller than any other carb I have gotten my hands on. They measure 46mm on the bottom but are bored larger on top. Sudco sticker. They have lots of harley and motorcycle stuff on their website.

I'm sure that Wax is right...stock 46's. These are my specialty on a lot of my engine set-ups. These will work well if set-up correctly from baby scream 701's up to pump gas X-SCREAM 1000's.

so I know there is no way for you to tell, but what do you think sudco possibly did to these carbs? just bore them, or do they also alter anything else?

They installed the Sudco high performance sticker for an additional 10HP.

I'm surprised you said they are taller then any other carb you have; are you measuring them with the F/A adapters? :scratchchin:

The stock 46mm Mikunis measure 108mm from the top to bottom surface.

i haven't measure them yet, but no I am not considering the FA's when I say they are taller. you see those two threaded holes for some sort of bracket on the fuel pump side??? is that normal? i don't remember seeing that since having my SXR. are these probably sort of OEM carbs, not aftermarket mikuni's?

They're just aftermaket Mikuni 46s and the all have that boss unless the tops have been chopped off for an aftermarket velocity stack.

I thought yours were modified somehow. Are "Team Scream" 46's just aftermarket 46's jetted your way or are they actually modified? That would make sense too, I guess.

They always are bigger on the top then the bottom the 46 is not measured at the top
The top looks as cast from mikuni to me
Normally a taper bored carb will look alot larger on the top than what youa re seeing there

you can see down near the throttle plate that there is a transition between the top size and bottom. in my opinion they have defiantly been bored, but no tapper bored.

The one I am looking at has a transition right below the bombsite it still has the choke plate installed so I know it has not been bored, yours may be different however.Lets solve this mythbusters style measure the bore at the top with a caliper,I just measured mine it measures 48mm.Your turn:smashfreakB:

yes they are
A good carb , and a nice upgrade as well
You wil find they are machined so that the throttle plate has some thing to close on
other wise it would be closing on a cast surfcae and it would not be able to seal off the air correctlly
