Help me decide if this is an ok buy :)

Hey guys!
So been lurking around here for a while but never had anything meaningful to say so stayed quiet :)
I have been day dreaming of starting a stand up build for freestyle for a while. Im not really interested in all out speed as I have a couch for that :)
Browsing ebay I found a deal for an 650 superjet hull for 250 bucks :)
Before I commit though, It would be cool if you guys would take a look at the pics and maybe help me figure out the year of the model and if you guys think that is a fair price!
Also, I would need help with my build as I have never done anything like this before. I am not completely retarded but im super new in all of this.
Please help me out!
Much love, G

Hey guys!
Thanks for the reply!
Its about 4 hours drive, but I think Ill go pick it up on Sunday then :) The Idea is to build a freestyle machine. Id love to flip it some day.
Is this hull ok for a such a ski?
And if so, what parts do you recommend I start looking for?

Ps. The dude just agreed I take it for 150 Euros if I get it out of his face by next Monday
Ps. I cant wait to see my GFs face when she finds a dirty old hull lying on the living room/ hobby room :D :D

God damn.
My brain is going a 1000 miles an hour. Maybe Ill splurge on a decent engine and electronics, beat the crap out of it, and later on I can get a Krash hull and transplant the guts :)

So!
The deal is done and Im picking up the ski on Thursday.
My action plan is as follows.
Remove the stickers and use pressure water to get that biach clean
Sand, buff and spray paint. Im thinking teal with white and red accents.
Start building.
I have a budget of 3-4000 euros to turn this into a surf freak. The goal is to flip, barrel and make ladies cream or break my neck trying :)
Can you please help me with a shopping list?
Ideally parts will transfer to an aftermarket hull at some point.
Help me out with a list of things youd stick on your ski and beer is on me next time one of you fellas is in Germany :)
Much love!

I agree leave the stock graphics and make it a sleeper, plus they will hold up way better then spray paint will and one less step to tackle. Building a good running ski from scratch is enough of a project itself. I dont know what its like trying to get parts in germany but you dont have much of a budget. A decent engine with electrics and a pipe will eat your budget right away and you still have all the little bits to find that are not cheap like control cables and engine mounts. my last advice is that this sport will more or less just get a bunch of guys attention asking you what kind of engine you have and if its hard to ride and piss your girlfriend off with how much time and money you spend on your ski. If you want them to "cream" better off writing rhymes G. Much Love J

Thanks for the reply guys.
First of all, Im sorry for the creaming comment. I didnt meant to offend anyone, if I did. I apologize.
Id love to to "like" the original decals but I just dont. When I say spray paint, I dont mean with a can of spray from my local hardware store, I meant a proper paint job for which ill do plenty of research. I am a quite patient guy and like to do things right. I promise I wont spoil the ski :)
The budget was something I though was enough, but I obviously dont really have a clue on what I am getting into and that is why I asked.
If I have to spend more money to have a ski which will make me proud, licorice it. Ill spend.
The weather here in Munich is pretty poopty and so I have at least 6 - 7 months ahead of me before I can ride, so I can save up and build it up slowly, learning as I go ( Hoping you guys can share the knowledge)
If you guys can point me on the right direction as to what motor to start looking for, steering, pump set up and so, Ill start slowly doing my research and getting bits and pieces

I also apologize If I come around a little arrogant, english is not my first language and sometimes my choice of words is just wrong.

lol the forum auto corrects swear words. You should look through this forum, especially the ski build ups page and decide what you are going for, you could get a running ski in your budget but it wont be anything thats launching out of the water without big waves

So after speaking with a few people and looking at the different threads, all the work that the superjet would need done ( shortening, rocking of the nose, foot holds etc) I realized that would probably be cheaper and easier to get a different hull. I just placed my order for a brand new Piranha Evo hull. Cost a lot more but would probably be better on the long term.
I cant seem to find a lot of info ere though. Anyone knows something about them?
Thanks!
