that is a 550 pump and the hull looks like a 550 cuz it has sponsons.

looks like you got a mixed bag.

but not sure why you are so worried about it the 40 and 50 are really not that much different.

get it going and ride it. if it is not fast enough do some mods.

I have so many tech questions where can i find the most informative manual, you guys have been so helpful but I'm sure you will become annoyed with me picking your brain over simple things.

Get a Clymer manual and join PWCToday.com. There are WAY more 550 guys over there in the vintage section. Not trying to steer you away from the X, but you'll definitely get more answers over there.

yeah looks like someone put a 440 engine or just 440 exhaust in a 550 hull
