A stock snorkel 760 intake is too small for a stock 760 with just a pipe, going to hold your setup back. It can be improved by trimming up the centre lump on the engine side. Filters will be better
I'm going to port match it to 46mm as well. I disagree with the sentiment that the snorkel is too small. The 2D area of the snorkel opening (not including the opening on the inner side) is pi 40^2= 5026.55 (it has an 80mm diameter) The surface area of the two carbs combined are pi 23^2= 1661.9 times 2= 3323.8 much smaller. The screens have plenty of surface area as well. It looks like a really well designed piece to me, not sure what I'm missing.A stock snorkel 760 intake is too small for a stock 760 with just a pipe, going to hold your setup back. I know from experience, I guess you don't like hpI'm going to port match it to 46mm as well. I disagree with the sentiment that the snorkel is too small. I'm worried about sound. There's nothing more ear piercing than a wide open two stroke. I've sold some piped bikes because it was damaging my ears. My view on the waterbox is that I just need a bit more free flow and I should be good.Modified water box probably isn't worth it. Get a jet maniac water box if you want to go with something more free flowing and lighter.

He has the 08+ waterbox and the only reason he's modifying it is so he won't get detonation at WOT like those boxes are notorious for.Modified water box probably isn't worth it. Get a jet maniac water box if you want to go with something more free flowing and lighter.
Added a Riva drypipe to a WB2, ran rich even with HS screws all the way in. Removed plastic airbox and it revved out. Also most people don't know how restrictive their hull air intakes are. You need to strap ski to trailer in the water and rev the ski up and try lift the hood. If it lifts easily you are good, if not, you are suffocating the engine.I'd be interested in the details of that experience. How did you determine that the oem spark arrestor was costing you power vs pods?
I know that removing the top half of the oem air intake, or even just removing the rubber elbow, can make a pretty noticeable difference in jetting, but I didn't notice any difference in actual power once the jetting was sorted out. It is possible that there is some power there to be had and I just didn't notice it.
