well thats a good start.........chop the crap out of the stocker pole.....KEEP the protec head if it runs good IMO 170 psi is plenty (both of my current ski's run at 165)....
the prop is an absolute.....send the cyl to paul for a port job (mine should be here SOON)....or....save up another 2-300 and go BB (but you'll still need that prop)...

how much compression will be lost after a port job to cylinder.im at 170ish now.

you shouldnt lose much, if any, compression since youre not raising the ports - just widening.
