No Spark.

Rode for 4 days in the salt, mainly a freshwater rider. Ski was running rich all week only swapped plugs once for the hell of it. Had no problems until the last day, went threw 3 sets of plug. It felt like it ran like crap, I couldn't believe I was taking in that much water and following plugs, it sure didn't feel like it. Ti would run fine until i tried to hit the face of a wave, then it terd'd out. The ski left the water running, idled fin on trailer and blew the water out.

When I got home and tried to ride to flush out at the lake 24 hours later, it wouldn't start, turned over good, no fire. I took the plugs out and checked for spark, neither plug had anything. I have a complete spare ebox, started swapping parts at the lake.

I opened up my ebox, bone dry, never an ounce of water in it, no corrosion anywhere. I replaced the MSD enhancer with another enhancer, still no spark. I replaced my JSS coil with an oem coil, still no spark. I went home and drank 3 beers, still no spark.

Before I continue to just go down the line and diagnose by replacement, any ideas?
Any way to test these electrical parts and tell if they are good (ohm meter, etc)

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like not only do you need electrical work you also need carb work. I maybe change plugs once a year for the hell of it. Do a quick search all the readings are out there, I don't know them off hand.

What could be going wrong in the carbs if I have no spark? As far as it running rich, it weird but it has run fine all summer and only ran like that the week in the ocean, it may have just been a combination of my ridding style in the surf and the long ass idels out of the bay....
Plugs were changed on day 2, just for the hell of it... as a precaution to the salt water intake....

stator, open up the flywheel cover and investigate
Good idea! That ocean ridding vibrated some other misc loose.... maybe they stator got messed up... i dont know why i jumped right to ebox problems... I'll investigate and report!

did you try unplugging the start/stop?
Hmm, no i didn't... so you mean maybe just touch the wire together to start it and see if its a short in the s/s.... ill have to check that out after the stator.... I have a feeling I may have a jacked up stator or something...

for what it's worth

when i lost spark in a squarenose it was the cdi. had never had one go bad and argued with my bud who suggested changing it but sure enough...

i have exactly the same issue tried new cdi and coil still the same think it may be iv got water on my stator and when i hit the wave it was srhorting somewhere. had the same issue 2 weeks before took the stator etc all apart then suddenly worked, was fine on the lake the following weak and now started again. if its not this i think there is a break on a wire somewhere and if it is im buying a new electric box lol

from the e-box there's 2 pairs of wires: reb/brown and black/white. unplug the black/white pair and try to start the ski. If it starts or has spark, the "stop" portion of your switch needs to be rebuilt.
