Super Jet HELP pump, intermedite, or pump itself??????

Ok so i am finally ready to put my 2003 RN Stripped hull together that i bought off EBAY months ago. I have been slowly buying parts to put this hull together. I am not sure what one of these parts is wrong but something is definately WRONG.

All parts are suppose to for a 2003 Super Jet

When the pump is bolted in to place the intermedite shaft wont slide down the d-shaft and flush with the bulk head its about 1" away. Any idea why it wouldnt slide all the way into place (d-shaft or intermediate)?
next problem (or is it all the same problem?):
The intermediate has a 3 finger coupler and my 760 motor has a 4. Is the motor wrong or the intermediate shaft? The bearing housing has 61x on it

how long is the sj drive shaft suppose to be? Also it seems to be bottoming out in the intermediate shaft I grease the splines and it only seemd to go about 1/2 down the splins in the d shaft, is this right? I think i have a problem in the intermediate shaft maybe.

try a different location. take it apart rotate to a different spline and try. ive had that problem before sometimes they just dont mesh right. try a few times and then maybe a light tap with a rubber mallet. this is all assuming you have correct parts. got pics?

A good seal due to grease can trap air in the intermed shaft as well. Applying reasonable pressure should force the air out though. Try a dry run with little to no grease and see if that helps.

On the driveshaft coupler, you will either have to swap out one or the other. Motor or pump for another 3-4 finger coupler. Yea the 64U's I believe came with the 4 finger couplers. It does not matter which one you use. I went with th 4 finger on my 760.
I may have one I can toss your way, I will look. shoot me a PM with a reminder.

SJ Driveshaft for '90-'07 is about 26 1/8" long tip to tip

Like Quickmick said, the 650/701 all have 3-finger couplers on the engine and midshaft. The 760 and larger cc yamis have a 5-finger coupler on the engine/midshaft. The threads are the same between both except '90('91 ?) 650's have smaller diameter threads on the midshaft. Here are some pics of both styles:

Ok so the driveshaft is corredct it was like mentioned earlier it was the oring seal. I found a 4 finger coupler off a GPR in my parts bin. How do I get the couplers off the the shaftes? What direction do I need to turn the couplers? I tried holding the shafts in a vice but the just spin even with heat on the couplers. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a spline tool if you wanna take the time to borrow it. Basicly I took a bent driveshaft, cut it and welded on a piece of metal to hold it in the vice. Use some heat on that aluminum coupler.

Mailbox cleared out, I get to many love letters.
