help removing hydro turf - pita -

the mallet and burn off scrapper i got from ace hardware was the best and heating it up worked good to

the wire wheel was a little to intense but it got the stubborn hard to reach areas off well

i the move to a sanding block with 60grit
i think i a ready to glue as i got the majority or it off pita!!

There is a reason I said use a brass cup brush,thats not brass unless brass has changed colors recently.

because my oem turf came right off and after I layed my turf
it came off pretty easy too

why would you want that? thats obviously way overglued. you only want it to stick good around the edges, all the flat area wont have a problem with one coat of dap.

i layed up 2-3 layers of blow goo i brushed it on both sides waited about 5 min each coat the and rubber malleted the turf down.

Here's what's worked well for me: I use a cheap fish filet knife with a very sharp and skinny tip.
Get started lifting the turf in one corner.
As you pull the loose turf away from the hull perpendicularly (keep tension on it!), slice away with the knife tip to get more to come loose.
Keep the knife sharp.

x3. It's not the cleanest but gets the job done and if you're OCD like me, you can scrape or sand the rest much easier.

Laquer thinner and a blade for the glue removal...........if you're going that far.

all done had to re cut the blowsion pre cut mats idno why the didnt match up near the rail caps.

also added a double 8mm kick tail and did away with the rear eye
took about 2-3 hrs. start to finish

oh and this is the new carls sandwich- it looked small but after i ate it i was so full i couldnt eat any frys.
