My face (esp my nose) is taking a beating in the sun! You guys use a good sunblock that won't wear off? I'm ready to put on that war paint stuff (if I can find it) and look like a dork to save my nose! Got any good products???

When ever I’m surfing for long periods of time, especially in the tropics where the sun is the harshest I use Head Hunter face sticks. It’s a zinc based sun block that comes in several shades to match individual skin tones. It’s a total sun block out that lasts all day and works especially well on your nose. They also make war paint.

I hate the alchohol based sprays, I like the lotion based sprays. Coppertone Sport has been doing the job for me for over 10 years. Personally, I like the good old lotion.

blue lizard - Australian sunscreen (made in TN !) I too am a fan of the lotion sunscreens. This stuff rocks. A little expensive but you don't have to use much. Takes a while to rub in but doesn't sweat out and burn my eyes like others. According to local news they can't meet consumer demand right now.

Aloe Gator ... trust in it.

It's as thick as grease, and you look shiny as hell when you're wearing it, but the stuff NEVER wears off. I'm about as pale as they get, and this is the only sunscreen I've ever found that keeps me from getting burned. I can't find it anywhere locally, so I order it online.

I learned about it when I lived in Key Largo, and the local dive captains swore by it. They were on the water 8 hours a day, 300+ days a year, in and out of the water. It's awesome...
