Help to identify my superjet.

I was hoping that y'all could help me identify my superjet. I always thought it was a round nose around 1996 but i recently read on wikipedia that all the round nose superjets came with 701 engine and 61X cylinder, 62T cases, and so then dual Mikuni Super BN38 carbs. Mine has a 701 engine but only a single Mikuni Super BN44 carb, and uses 6 petal reed valves on intake. I always thought I had a 61X cylinders and 61X case. It seems like this means the hull is square nose, but based on the shape I did not think so, but obviously, what do i know? Please see the pics.

What do y'all think I have in terms of hull and engine type?

Thanks Brad.

I was wondering about just this case, but I could not find any information anywhere that such had ever been sold stock. Did Yamaha ever sell the round noses stock like that until they used up all the full 61X engines, or would it have to be that someone put this combo together from parts?

No. That is a RN hull that someone stuck a 61x/61x engine in it.........

Someone likely dun gon' blowed their engine up and found a donor engine from whatever yard ornament they could buy for $300. Not uncommon since 2 stroke Yamaha engines from the late 90s and 2000s (for the most part) all share the same foot print.

Think of it like LS swaps or Subaru motor swaps - there's such a wide variety of host vehicles that they are pretty common - plus they all share the same mounting hole patterns so it makes for a convenient swap.
