Help with my superjet

hi I am new here so if this is a really stupid question please cut me some slack. I recently bought a 1990 yamaha superjet with the 701 motor in it. I have been noticing that when I put it in the water it is leaking quite a bit. So much so that a bilge pump was necessary. I think it is leaking out of some idk if you would call it a hose or not, but it is around 3 inches long and then just just stops with a clamp on the end. It is located just below the primer in the engine compartment. I do not know what it is, so I do not know if something needs to be done to it. Let me know your thoughts--thanks, tayler

I cannot. The pipe/hose is right underneath the electronics box which is mounted to the back wall of the engine compartment. Sorry about the picture, I can't get my phone in there to take one

If I had to guess it sounds like your siphon tube was cut and is letting water in. If you have a bilge pump installed you won't hurt anything if you just cap off the hose. Either way I would still recommend to post a picture for us to verify. Use a mirror if you have to....
