Here's how I do it

This is the prototype, but it has held together well all summer. A couple revisions here and there and it'll be perfect.

I think the rear differential has a vent and it's not good to submerge it.

Your park / parking brake only works off the rear wheels. If the back end floats even a little you can roll down the ramp.

You could probably keep a lot more of the truck out of the water with a hitch hauler or a longer ramp or something.

I rerouted my vent hose further up towards the cab and higher. But that is correct.

Not really worried about my truck floating away in 10 inches of water

When I hauled in the bed of my lowered truck I would back down until the tailgate was in the water, which ment the rear axle was way under. Hardly even had to lift the ski to slide it in, super duper easy. Truck never floated away thankfully.

Only downside compared to a hitch hauler is you lose all the bed space, and you have to back into the water further .. other than that its cool. hope everyone has a great end of summer!
