Hi to you all , im in the uk and new to stand up sking after 9 years of sit downs (got board) i gave in and got hold of a kawasaki 650 sx, needed some work as my pics latter will show, but 3 weeks ago after a lot of work i took her out for a run, have to say i had a blast, very hard compared to sit down but so much more fun, so after looking on this site a few times i have taken some time to post a big HELLO,:beerchug:
my choice for the 650sx was based on cost , it came in cheep and i didnt want to invest much in to stand up if i didnt like it, the ski was tatty when i got it but now i think it looks stunning, speak to you lot latter then

Also on those kawis a handful of washers and some time shimming the ride plate can have quite the dramatic effect on handling!!

what's the deal with that trailer? how do you get the ski off with the lifts blocking the ski like that?

Back home from work so here is some photos before and after, please bear in mind I paid 170 uk pounds for this ski on a trailer , so you can see why im so happy with it


The ski as I got it

Ski after its first work new covers and matts and the pole repainted

New mats fitted

The motor before a good clean and service (yes nothing else needed doing)

Motor after the clean

New bars fitted and finger throttle

New cover and ready to go

as she is now

Its not the first ski I have rebuilt last year I did a full rebuild on a polaris hurricane after owning it for 5 years, but it is my first stand up
