High End Custom Jet Ski Insurance

HI all,

I know it has been a topic around here before but some of us have ridiculous amounts of money in our skis. Some of us ride custom hulls that were made by places like Rikter, or Ski clinic and most companies just won't Insure them. I do not own a custom made hull, but I have have been approached by a few ppl that I ride with regarding the following quote. "if I sink my ski man...I am screwed!" We have rescued several skiis from the river and even one from the deep lakes that we have here, but several of the group I ride with now hesitate to ride deep water for fear of loss.

Well I found the guy! He is with Liberty Mutual and now has all of my insurance. The ski rates are about $60 a month but this is only really worth it if you have a high end boat...say $25k or more invested (rates are all the same once you reach that level). He tells me regular skiis are better insured through places like Gieco or another major call center style company as Liberty is too expensive and cannot compete at that level. However in cases of custom hulls such as Rikters and what have you Geico will not ensure them, as far as I have been told.

Now I want it known I make nothing from him if I refer ppl. I just like the guy and quite frankly figured this would be valuable info for the group.

He is licensed in CA, IN, MN, NV, and TX and if the demand is there he'll pull licensing in other states as well. Now back to modding and more fun facts about jet skiis.

700$ a year is still worth it for sub 15k am skis if the coverage is that good. What does it all cover? Theft, sinking, liability amount, etc?

Sounds like he's a salesman with no real power to accomplish what he's selling. Get a policy on an aftermarket hull with a state issued HIN in writing and through underwriting and I'll be impressed. No different then the folks that have paid Progressive for coverage and had their policy's canceled and refunded.

As far as I know it covers everything...but I am not 100%. This wasn't a policy for me. It was for a buddy of mine that rides a Stryker hull.

This is exactly what we were trying to do. Epic industries is local here and he makes his own hulls than gets them state titled. I made it perfectly clear how these are made and he brought it to a few different managers and was able to get approval. I know nothing more than that. He understands they are custom built hulls and so does his management. Like I said previously, I did this research for Epic and the Stryker hull. So, if it works for them...and the policy holds. Than why not work for everyone??? IDK...I don't need this type of policy but I know a lot of ppl out there who do and figured I'd share. Take it or leave it for what its worth.

I have a contact for a State Farm lady here near SF, no fuss give me a quote in 5 minutes for my sj. Got insured for 10k - 33$ a month

That's a superjet with a company issued HIN. If she could do a price like that for an AM hull that'd be great..
