I still can't see how people can send hard earned dough for something that's not even tested. Hell no one even seen 1 complete other than some crappy pix of the supposed "proto type" The hood just got made so you know that's never been tested before. What if it falls apart in a year? What is a warranty if no one is going to make you another 1?

Exactly. Never seen one, never rode one, no reviews from owners, no long term testing, and still buy one? That is just plain dumb.

Good lord I saw two of his front footholds side by side and there was no consistency between them on even a simple part like that.

Team Bill/Highroller if not mistaken. Look at the Daytona Carnage.

But Ewok stated that when he got it he was told it was too thin for surf use. So, cannot really hold that against anybody as far as quality.

Wamilton use to make hulls for Malone, Roy, Lenzi that were known as 2 minute hulls. They were superlight made for would finals. Never seen one my self.

I had one one of wammers 2 minute hoods, was literally one layer of glass...super light, but cracked in no time....good idea for competition I guess....

I too don't understand why anyone would buy such a mysterious hull...I haven't even seen a decent close up pic of the hull, seems like everyone is around one has a really crappy camera and the pic is taken in a dark room...

i want to know what discount the current owners are getting to put that large banner in their signature

did the "top secret" pics of the fire wall ever materialise?

i think its great that there are new companies popping up with products and in some cases targeting the more affordable end of the market, seems its hard for these guys to break through, for sure the best way is to make sure you product is complete, tested and manufactured to acceptable standards (determined by the price range that product falls in)

I agree with most people and I don't know if I would've plopped money down had I known everything wasn't ready so I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping I don't end up a victim like so many others have been in the WDK and 24/7 incidents.

I must say I've gotten more and more worried with every piece of information I hear that wasn't as I originally expected. However, after reading the statement above, it does give me some confidence. If Dan knew E rok's hull wasn't strong enough for the surf and it held up as long as it did under the abuse E rok puts on it, maybe he does know what is required to make a solid hull. I may not want to beat up hulls like he does but I'm sure most of us wish we could ride like E rok does.

If you guys have any questions about my topdeck just ask. I'll try to find some pictures of what it was just to demonstrate how ignorant I was to even think about putting it together. Dan at Highroller is not at fault at all, I broke my hull and Dan had nothing to do with it. He is a great guy and would not hesitate to ever purchase something from him again.

No problem.

For further explanation and as you can see in the picture the topdeck was literally one layer thick of chop strand. It was Dan's first time using the mold and was just a test. I didn't want to see it thrown away and never thought I was going to use it but sometimes you got to do what you got to do.

Who bought Gooses silver and black hull. The one fully setup minus motor for 3K. I would have bought it but the mystery buyer had it before anyone got a chance.. Where are some video of that hull. The one goose was riding for over a year. That was the same design... "or I was told it was" He rode a "new" hull for a year and just had pictures?

i hope these high roller kits work out, cos its good to see something in the more affordable price bracket..

pretty sure there will be quality issues to start, but then thats just the way it is with new products

the bigger guys obvioulsy charge more $$ cos there is more testing done

it seems like the guys that are building up these skis right now will be the testers as there doesnt seem to be any prototype/test thread anywhere

interested to see how it goes for sure

people knock wdk, i have a REV hull and its a beautiful peice of work, the quality is great, and its not a superjet copy... but because some people have had delivery issues jeff gets knocked and there fore so does the product

Not sure I've ever seen anything bad about WDK's products. In fact, everything I can remember seeing says that his products are amazing. The problem is he has very optimistic promises and then ruins it when he under delivers or worse, doesn't deliver. I don't really care who the company it is, if you promise a delivery date that you can't meet, you owe your customers an HONEST explanation. That's all I ask... I'd still like to get a 66e one day and the WDK pipe is sweet but I'm too afraid to buy from Jeff because of others experiences.

Thanks to everyone who stood up and vouched for Dan. I love the concept of the stunt hull and his reputation on the boards was one of the biggest reasons I pulled the trigger on this hull as early as I did. Then once people started questioning and doubting, the fear and doubt became contagious and myself as well as others were beginning to get stressed out about the whole deal.

You must be new around here.

I've personally seen a new (or very nearly new) WDK hull with a 4-6" horizontal split across the bottom being repaired on the beach.

I bought a new WDK hood that turned out to have numerous voids between the gelcoat and glass

WDK's quality is not outstanding.

The hull is poor quality but it's dirt cheap. buyers better now how to work with composites or it's going to fail miserably. I doesn't matter if goose laid it up or dan laid it up, it's a low quality mold. It's the best deal going if u can make, inserts, bulkheads and hoods. Someone needs to post Pics of bulkhead and engine mounting plates. It's all in line for the price of the hull but it's the cheesiest thing I've seen. It's a great idea and platform for a hull, and if u have the skills u can make a light acrobatic hull for reasonable money. However it's an extreme amount of work. Goose laid up chads hull just fine, it just looked rough because the molds look like a beaver chewed on them. Goose always said dan owed the hood dan said goose owed the hood. Hood never came ( which after seeing pics was no great loss). So someone got out of sending me a hood I payed for.

Would I buy another one? Hell no!

And remember all of this is my opinion.

I don't want any of the 13 stunt hull owners to feel bad, it can be made into a cool hull with a little work and you'll still be in it cheaper than anyother aftermarket hull out there. I'm just giving my opinion

I think there is less work involved modding the 300SX hull and I know I will be at least $1500.00 richer, from what I have seen thus far I think the SX hull will be stronger as well.
