Jamie the cell phone is not turned on very often. We are getting a new one this weekend but your better off calling the house, I'll pm you the #
I definitely won't be milking this around the house. Tracie is not very happy about this whole thing, she keeps saying stuff like "you could have killed yourself". I of course then think to myself hmmm if I was dead I wouldn't have to listen to this.:joke:

get well steve.you will be fine in plenty of time for daytona:woot:
We'll have to see about that. I'm sure I'll be healed by then just not to sure I would want to push my luck. I'm not very good at taking it easy as you can probably guess.

Later

HAHAHA

I got more of MY stuff done with a broken ankle than I ever have before because i had so much time off work. Im not very good at sitting still either.:1244:

Damn Steve, sorry to here about the wreck. My brother races motard and just to share a similar story; He got high sided at lower speeds than you and he almost ripped of his thumb because of the sudden and violent wreck. It is amazing the forces that are at work. He's a big strong guy also, and he was yanked off like a rag doll.
Hope to see you and Tracie down here for the January ride.

Hey, Steve

Sorry to hear about your crash. I guess it could have been alot worse! Hope you heal up quickly. Get well soon!!!!

Smitty, BJ and I went out for our last run yesterday. Water was 55F. Air temp. 50F  It was a little on the cool side.

Anyway, talk to ya soon

Justin

I knew I was going to crash eventually. I go to the track to go fast and push my limits so I don't have to on the street.
If anything this makes me want to do less street riding and more track time next year. Could you imagine the possible out come of an accident like this on the street. Gaurd rails, sign post, cars, curbs etc.

this is what happens on the street with gaurd rails. my right arm was in two. you where right the track is a smart place to play. good luck geting well.

Well after 2+ weeks I finally manage to go pick up my bike at Smitty's house.
This is the first time since crash day that I've gotten to see it.
Doesn't look like it will be too expensive to fix. Need one engine side cover, a fairing stay, the left bar might be bent and a little bit of fiberglass work. Very glad I had my race fairings on the front. I'll be happier once I get a side cover so I can here it run.
Is it wrong to ride your bike while still needing crutches to walk?:crutches: :sgrin: I did sit on it today but I needed help to even lift it off the side stand. Maybe by the time the parts get here I'll be able to ride:fingersx:

Pics.
Obviously at one point the bike must have been sliding on its nose.

Ouch Steve, definately not lookin as good as it was FSF weekend.
Glad your OK, thats the one thing that stops me from getting a bike. The potential to get myself killed...You can handle that, but a puny kid like me...Id be mashed potatoes!
Hope Tracie's not givin you too hard of a time, and glad you came out OK. You'll probably be out riding again soon enough. Do you quit for the winter?
