Looks pretty good and fairly simple.I was thinking about just converting a hitch hauler that I have laying around.

The only thing I want different is I still want to be able to hook a trailer up to the truck, however unwise that may be.I only live ten minutes from the lake.

if you are making your own you will have to flare out the square tubing and you a thicker wall tubing so it will not collapse or bend. i will draw one up when i get home from work to illustrate what i am talking about

Where did you find that? I didn't think anyone manufactured them anymore. Good find.

I bought a used one that someone had welded up by a local welder.

I like the design of the versa hauler in that they keep it off center to accommodate for the engine being more forward than in the center of the ski.

these are the only pics I have of mine. It is extremely heavy. Weigh probably over 100lbs. I don't think it had to be made this heavy duty. I can't even barely move it by myself.

Butti, that is exacty what I need, where did you get that done?

The Versahaul is way overpriced:skull2:

I assume that you need a price on the VH-JS. I do not have XXXX XXXXXXXXX listed as a dealer so I can give you MSRP. That price is $429.99. Thanks.

Flush, share the love, how much?

:cat37:

Too much!!!

Mine was built entirely out of aluminum which drove the cost up substantially. The solid stock 2" bar was $100 alone (This is the piece that slides into the receiver---about three foot overall. I've got $400 in mine including labor, but I had it built to last. It even carried a Blaster (with no motor) down to Daytona.

My rails are 2 1/2" aluminum tubing with Hydroturf on the top of them.

I found through one of the dealers websites for the versahauler a price at $389.99. Not but better, but less the 429

me and a freind built it.when we built it we figured it would cost 4-500$ to duplicate labor+material.the steel was about 100$ by itself then 4-5 hrs cutting and welding

I like that Flush's is made of aluminum, but yours have the tow hitch on the end.

Have you towed a trailer with it?

I would like something to get my ski out of the bed of the truck.

Here is a picture of mine. I built it out of 1/4 inch wall 2X2 stock. The ball hitch that goes in the end of it is just a 1-1/4 class one hitch with 1/8" steel wraped around it and welded on so that it fits snug inside of the stock steel.

I built this out of 3" alumized exhaust pipe. Works great no tie downs necessary.

Speak up ,don't kiss azz
Thanks for the ideas .
$400 is a lot considering you can buy a trailer for that much but I'm going to have one built and I'm looking for ideas but I do like the versa hauler a lot except instead of wood I want metal where the bunks are and I don't need them adjustable .

2" solid steel for the hitch receiver is a must for me .

A blaster without a motor weighs less than a Superjet I believe

I don't know what the failure weight is for a piece of 2 X 2 X 1/4 but I have hauled a double trailer with 3 sitdowns on it and my SJ all at the same time. My poor Lightning was sitting flat on the ground. The front ski was a Seapoo XP on the trailer backwards crammed between the other two. I know that the trailer couldn't handle the weight tore the leaf spring off before we got out of town on this trip... LOL
