Hitch Carriers

bk, I would not want to add the bow eye. To much weight to one end.

Also, Ron if you are going to sell these.. i would look into lights on them. If some skis, depending on hitch reciever on their vehicle the ski can hid the lights a little. and if ski was hit, insurnace will not cover because the lights where not in full exposed view...

In your pick you can see the lights really good, but some might be differnet.
Just a thought. If i put 15 grand on the back of my truck.. I want it seen ! Ya know ! otherwise whoever hit me... :AR15firing:

Looks nice ! I gave legdrag my last one..
these lookd nice and tight, and not so much tubing.
but the angle iron probly saves a ton of weight !

One more suggestion for you if you decide to produce these. To keep the rack from moving(rattling) at all make a little bracket that has 3 bolts to tighten against the receiver hitch from below.

The with the nose pin there isn't that much weight difference. I built mine out of 3 inch exhaust pipe. It is STRONG and still balanced almost exactly with the ski on the truck but without the ski is is heavy on the pin side.

I would love to have one of these. All the time I haul my double trailer and only unload one ski. My problem is that I have a lifted truck. I would think that I would have to back halfway down the ramp before the ski hit the water. Anyone have any experience with this?

Or do like speedfreak did with his lightening just back it in and let it float, you can push the truck back to the ramp with your ski. LOL

unfortunately I'll be workin all day tomorrow :( I may be back down to bens this sunday, we'll see how the finances go, $42 to fill two 5-gallon jugs is TOO MUCH! I just need to glue down the LH side and she's ready to go again

I had a dakota with 10 inches of lift and it worked just fine with the large lift you also have larger tires. I only got the bottom of my wheels wet. I didn't ever get the brakes wet. Plus with a 4x4 you can pull out of anything.

Don't do that it is a pain trying to get all of the water out of the transmission......LOL
