I have an old TowGo trailer that the tongue was rusted out on, I hade to make the Navarre beach freeride and had no time , so I shoved a galvanized sign post up into the tongue through bolted the post to the the tongue and the coupler through the sign post and rode out, the sign post is still in there 15 years later .

Nah, gonna cut the center 2" tube out from the cross member and just replace it all.
