Lol.

Kinda weird the carbon underneath looks shinny and smooth. Maybe the pocket of air was for floating purposes lol.

I was wondering if anyone had even watched this.

Listen closer, he was saying "Hollow". He was showing us the hollow spots...

DING DING DING

So yeah, I had a crack right along that glob of resin and cabosil. I started grinding to repair it, and found the glob. I was like

Once i realized the resin/cabosil was used to bond the bulkhead it started to make a little sense. But not really because it creates a point of leverage for the bottom deck. Especially with a big 'holla' spot next to it.
I measured the blob. It was ~6.5mm tall per my caliper.

I had a crack on the other side as well, that you can see I've started to repair. I'm wondering if I need to grind into that side and see if its 'holla' too.

it wasnt that bad just dont gring all the way through, i put 3 layers of 19,7oz 2x2twill on and it has been good to go..

Cool. Yeah all I've done is sand off the paint and primer exposing the first layer of composite in the chine, which is a thin layer of carbon. That should be sufficient texture for the resin to bite into.

I figure beefing up those two chines gives the rest of the bottom deck more strength. What do you think?
