Holy grail of carbs?

I understand to match the application. Looking for opinion on outlets to explore. I've had my eye on Novi's but haven't been unable to speak with anyone at Novi. Looking for alternatives.

What motor are you putting them on?

They are all only as good as the person tuning them....

But that being said... On big motors I've always found the Dasa 48's very forgiving and easy to tune.

When did Novi start building carb bodies out of billet? Lease that is what it looks like @MTRHEAD
They never did. I took a set of billet Rivas. Inserted aluminum slug up top and made horns like Novis, developed the radius taper on one surrogate carb, then had Quest Engineering (Novi) add their boosters to two of them once it was perfect. Very very effective and strong carbs. They have been on some winning skis in havasu back in 2000’s. (I leant them out).

FS seem to run the same jetting for 99% of the setups. If you suck at tuning that's a decent start depending again on the specific gravity of the water you ride in

Speaking with your motor builder would be a good start.
For the vast majority of jetski riders, you've got one of two options.
A-the person posting the question is the one who built the motor or
B: yamaha built the motor 30yrs ago.
Either way the constant "ask your engine builder" replies to question like this gets old fast. I'll never have the money to have a motor built for me, yet I'd still like answers to questions as I try to ride. I'm sure others would as well.

The carbs that were listed above are pretty high dollar. What are you building or having built. Also whoever you buy carbs from should give you a good starting point. If you got 1200-1400 for carbs I’d assume you can afford a ported “motor built 30 years ago”.

Just trying to point you in the right direction. I’ve built quite a few skis and I can tell you from experience it’s a lot more fun to have parts that work together and have a proven setup vs playing mix and match and complain on here how your ski doesn’t hit like you want or like someone else’s boat and not riding.

It is about money but it’s you can have a great running potted 701 for 1/8 of the cost of a 1000cc plus motor with all the high dollar parts.

Just trying to make your life easier. If you want to ride (quickly) take the shortcut and consult a proven source or buy a mikuni manual and start playing scientist.
