When you chop up a ski and do that much modifciation you generally add more weight than what the original hull even weighed.
IMO after material cost and time spent, you're better off just paying a professional hull builder for a quality built hull. They use better techniques like vacuum bagging and make the hull light and strong. You also have the opportunity to upgrade from regular fiberglass to full carbon. Some of these carbon hulls are like 50-60 pounds.
