Home-made rideplate

My steering nozzle is on a trim ring so I'm thinking two things.

Either the force of the water running through it will keep it strait

Or the force coming from underneath it will cause it to put the trim up.

I'd be ridin nose high, that's for sure.

it was really akward riding without a ride plate for me. Mine fell off so i decided to ride for a little longer without it and it just felt like the back was going to sink.

When you say it bumps the pump do you mean you can press up on it until it touches the pump? Probably a stupid question....

I'm assuming I want it to have some flex. But not so much that it will flex to a breaking point when landing

No, I'm saying even with mine being very strong, on hard landings it still flexes enough that the pump bumps it. You want it rigid...

Finished. Decided not to bother sanding it because I'm only using it for a couple weeks. Came out to about 5.5mm.

Only thing I see that might be a potential problem is that it just barely touches the bottom of the pump. Hmmmmmm. Might throw a couple washers under it.

having the plate touch the pump isnt a bad thing, it will keep the plate from flexing to the breaking point. ive been running my homemade plate for over a year and its never cracked or delaminated. i did have to add more glass to it from beaching it hundreds of times..

That's kinda what I was thinking. Must be better than having it flex to a point where it actually hits the pump with some force. Good to hear yours is lasting so long. I have access to a carbon mold so I might lay one of those up sometime. Just didn't have the time on this one.
