Yet another creative use for kitchen appliances.
I think I burned my bridges with the oily cylinder in the oven for sleeve removal.

The powder coating does not last very long on a B-pipe chamber, you might want to have it ceramic coated instead.

Mine has lasted a full season without any issues in 100%salt. Looks just as good as it did at day one... It must be sandblasted very well to get the powder to stick.

You might be okay with the high temp black but the chrome powder coating turns grey almost after the first heat cycle IMHO.

The ceramic coating is more suited for high temperature applications and it helps to provide a thermal barrier keeping the heat inside the pipe for more HP.

They did mine with the stuff that looks like rustoleum "hammered" paint. Its rought textured. Did both of my pipes with this stuff and bedplates.

is the harbor freight just as good?
I'd go with the Harbor Freight gun if you're going to be powder coating just because it's a top feed gun and easier to clean.

I've also used the HotCoat gun from Eastwood and the electrical charge seems to be a lot stronger but the actual gun is a peace of junk IMO.

I have the harbor freight kit, and it works well. Worth the money. Caswell plating has a good selection of powder paints to choose from.

Look in the Sunday paper to find or look in a maxum to find a 20% off coupon for Harbor Freight. I never buy anything there w/out one. I'm a member of the inside track club too, but I think your better off if you just know where to look for the coupons in different publications cause the coupons aren't THAT good in the club, but you get a bunch.

I also run the harbor freight gun, I ended up getting it for 50$ with a coupon. Im working on 2 ovens right now, one for doing small parts and one for doing big parts, wheels, motorcycle frames, handpoles, etc, etc.

For the small oven, I am using a old cheap tool box I had, It one of those wal mart brand cabinet box, I used the bottom chest of it, and a little toaster oven that my wife wanted to replace, It's not a toaster. But its the little counter top oven thing, It had 4 heating elements in it and a timer and thermostat, everything you need for a powder coating oven. Iv already got the elements in place and all wired up. Im still working on a hinge for the door, and I think Im gonna use the glass door from the oven and put a window and a oven light in it so I can keep a eye on things.
I'll put some pics up when I finish it up.
